Philosophy Brings Strength

Shocks to the system
Require the letters of wisdom
To ease the agony of the mind.

Just in the nick of time,
Soothing, calming waters flowing from
The fountain of Knowledge: the Source.

Requiring immediate assistance,
Don’t wait or the pain will be greater.
Follow the law to the letter.

Vedic poets had knowledge of the One.
They perceived with their inner eye
The seed sown in the precious stone.

Again, again and again and again and again,
Following the inner compulsion
To do what is right, without fail.

Philosophy brings strength to the mind
And water, untainted and pure,
Brings strength to both mind and body.

Why do I write these words?
For the same reason the Vedas were written,
For the future generations.

I want to read these words again:
Protect the water and the Earth
And all her inhabitants.

The Vedas, the Bible, Yoga Sutras,
Words of ancient philosophers,
Plato, Aristotle, the Stoics,

Pythagoras and his metempsychosis.
The best water comes from the deepest wells
So drink from them frequently.

Once again I repeat
I want to read these words again:
Protect the water and the Earth
And all her inhabitants.

Philosophy brings strength.
